Here We Go
The Lord is good. The Lord is faithful. I am sitting here in a hotel bed in the dark while my amazing, and very tired, kiddos are snoozing away. They have been such troopers through this whole transition and change. It is only the Lord. I am in awe of His faithfulness. We left the condo for the last time on Wednesday morning. The place we have lived for the last 12 years. Where all my babies learned to walk. Where I was stretched to limits I never thought possible and grew so much. I cried for just a minute as we shut the door and walked away, but God has been so good and has kept it from weighing too heavy on me. He is filling my heart with an excitement for the new and helping me to find my comfort and security in Him. He is with us wherever we go, and no matter what circumstances or changes we are going through. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17) I’m learning to trust Him in this.
We are now at our second stop, Amarillo, TX. The Lord has provided and blessed our travels above and beyond. (4 1/2 hours in a car with 5 kids is a good time limit, and we all keep our sanity.) We will be in Amarillo for a couple days as the Lord has opened the door for Matt to go to a conference here. A guy that Matt listens to regularly, who is from L.A., just happens to be speaking at a conference here in Amarillo at the exact time we are here. After much prayer we both felt very strongly that this was something the Lord wanted him to do. It will also be refreshing for the kids and I to get a short break from the road, as well as get some school done! The kids aren’t as excited about this as me 😂 We haven’t done anything too exciting yet besides swimming since it has been freezing. It was 53 today in Amarillo and that felt like a heat wave. I will continue to keep everyone updated as we go. There are no words for how thankful we are for all the love, prayers, and support. We have felt them above and beyond.
Love and Blessings,
